![]() If you are an author of a popular bot, I suggest adding some sort of message about this. The only way to fix the situation is to get as many people as possible vocal about it. This is important because bots add a lot to Discord, and pretty much every (even small) server has at least one. Either everybody has to follow the ToS, or nobody.īy downloading, accessing or using the API or SDK or Documentation in any way, Licensee affirms that Licensee has read this Agreement, understands it, and agrees to be bound by it. However, this is an even bigger issue, because it makes it acceptable for Discord to target certain bots/developers but not others. One could make the argument that these terms of service will not be enforced strictly anyway. These terms will start being enforced in 10 days. ![]() This updated legal text effectively outlaws most bots (on the grounds of logging end user info without permission). This updated legal text includes absolutely stupid and sometimes nonsensical sections. The Discord Developer Terms of Service have just been changed (~2 hours before this post was made).
